C Carpenter Emerging Med Crisis

Emerging Medical Crisis: Ecosystem Disruption, NEW DATE TO COME

As we are learning with the coronavirus, disease spreads quickly when people travel. In veterinary medicine, the movement of animals  – whether via pet parent travel, shelter movement, or rescue relocation –  is causing its own emerging veterinary crisis within local disease eco-systems. It is critical that veterinary practices stay ahead of potential threats and emerging diseases.

In this discussion, we will dive into the many and growing challenges that result from animal relocation. Specifically, the spread of zoonotic and deadly parasitic diseases that are increasingly putting more animals and in some cases humans, at risk.

This solutions-oriented conversation will include discussion of how you and your practice and handling the growing threat, and will provide new and free tools you can use to inform your pet owners to help them further protect their pets.

Our host for this conversation is Dr. Christopher Carpenter, Chief Executive Officer of the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC). Register here.

Our thanks to CAPC for its support of this conversation!
